Winter
The winter activities centre on Marble Mountain is just 10 minutes from Humber Valley Resort. Marble Mountain offers 34 runs to accommodate all levels of skier and snowboarder. The slopes are quiet, with few queues and there are ample groomed runs for beginners and intermediates.
With extensive trails up into the mountains and deep into the valleys, there are numerous opportunities to feed the sense of adventure with snow-mobiling and cross-country skiing. Blow Me Down Ski Park offers over 40 kilometres of cross-country trails, from backcountry trails to the FIS World Cup racing trails.
Summer
The unique geological formations in the bays, inlets and coves captivate visitors from all over the world and offer limitless hiking and mountain biking adventures.
From the resort where you can launch your board, boat and sail down to the Bay of Islands which is ideal for kayaking adventures or river boat tours. It is common to catch sight of whales, bald eagles, terns, and kingfishers when kayaking throughout the summer months.
Newfoundland's lakes and rivers also provide a bounty of thrills for international anglers. Salmon fishing is a prime summer activity in this region and the Humber River bordering the resort is one of the best salmon rivers in the world. Early June is also the best time to watch Atlantic Salmon leap the rapids at 'Big Falls' en route to their spawning grounds upstream.
